SUMMER OUTDOOR WORSHIP  services conclude for the season on August 19 at 6:30 p.m.  The service will be held on the driveway east of the church.  The pre-service food (5:30-6:30) will be served by the Board of Youth and, once again, Culvers is graciously providing ice cream after the worship service. Our Immanuel Praise Team will be presenting music and you will get your first chance to meet and greet the new vicar, Brian (and Victoria) Weaver.

BASIC LAKE PARTY – Sunday, August 22 – anytime after 2:00 p.m. Boat rides, lake fun as weather permits, food, entire family welcome…please bring hot and cold dish to share, your own table service and drink, lawn chair, sun screen and relaxing thoughts. It’s at the Gray’s lake property at Lake Carroll.

MEN’S SOFTBALL: The Immanuel/Redeemer I.C.A.A. softball team has begun it’s season…games are played on Thursday nights at the Taylor Park fields beginning at 6:15 p.m. There are nine church teams participating. Jim Fosler is the commissioner for these games. Call him on his cell with questions 815.238.0669.

Youth Ministry Events for June/July 2010: 

June 14-17:  Faith and Family Week, evenings with Thursday Outdoor Worship, dinner and ice cream 

Sunday, June 20:  No Youth Groups.  Father’s Day, Enjoy time with your Families. 

Sunday, June 27:  Senior Youth Usher @ 10:30am Church Service, Questions?  Ask Ben Luedtke. 

Sunday, June 27:  Regular Youth Groups:  Junior Youth 6-8th grade, 5:27pm-6:55pm—Students to be picked up by 7pm.  Senior Youth 9-12th grade, 6:40-8:10pm.  A light dinner is served from 6:30-6:55pm. 
Theme:  Hmm…I wonder…??  Why?? 

Sunday, July 4:  No Youth Groups.  Go see some Fireworks and Celebrate our Country and our Freedom! 

Sunday, July 11:  National Youth Gathering, New Orleans, participants @ 10:30am church service to be commissioned for their trip. 

Sunday, July 11:  Outdoor Day Retreat for Junior and Senior High Youth right after late church.  12 noon to 6pm @ Oakdale.  We will take transportation from the church to Oakdale and back to the church for your families to pick you up.  Lunch and dinner provided.  Bring sneakers, bug spray, bible, pen, and smile J  Watch for permission slip and flyer J 

July 13-18:  Stephenson County Fair  Raising Funds:  The Youth Board sponsors a Saturday shift at the Beef Corral and needs HELP from all Senior High not going on the New Orleans Trip and all Parents who can help.  Please contact Karen Luedtke.  Thanks! 

July 14-22:  National Youth Gathering Trip to New Orleans!!!  Have a great time!  Questions, see Pastor Ros Schultz.
